Natalia Pas was born in Golystok in Mazowsze, Poland. Since childhood she was interested in drawing and painting. As a young girl she emigrated with her parents to the United States and they settled in New Jersey. Natalia had the passion for painting, but only later as a s student at Kean University where she majored in Fine Art Education, she started to develop her artistic abilities. She has previously shown her paintings with group exhibits, but this one is her first individual show.
“My soul, my eyes, my feet always gravitate to the landscape of fields and forests of Poland. As a child rooted in those landscapes I ache for them as the memory fades from that beautiful and simple time. The images shown are of places that remind me of a feeling that a child can only feel, its lovely, free untouched and pure. In those paintings a memory is fixed within me that is represented by a figure. These figures represent the longing for the time that cannot be relived”, says Natalia Pas
And their wings did not grow
Even though they wanted them
Now they will remain
Amids all the greenery
They glanced around
Someone kneeled, laid in the grass
Another held his head low
They began to wonder why they stayed
I am no longer there
Amids all the greenery
Although I will remember them
I will not come back
