ABOUT GALLERY
A generous contribution from the Estate of Walter Skulski in 1984 enabled the Polish Cultural Foundation to transform an ordinary room virtually having a glass wall of northern exposure enviously sought by creative artists into what has become one of the more prestigious art galleries in State of New Jersey.
Exhibited are local, national, and internationally renowned artists creating in all media. Since its inaugural exhibit in 1984 more than 160 exhibits have taken place at the Skulski Art Gallery. Some of the featured art works were sculptures by Lubomir Tomaszewski, Piotr Woroniec and Andrzej Pitynski; paintings by Alojzy Balcerzak, Nikifor, Jun Guang Yu, Aleksandra K. Nowak, tapestries by Nina Kedzierski, play-bills by Rafal Olbinski, graphic art by Jan Lebenstein, collages by Marcello Truppa and group shows hosted by such as The Guild of American Papercutters and the Woodbridge Art Group.
Annually 10 floor shows are scheduled at the gallery with each season extending from September through July. Although the focus of attention may be to artists of Polish ancestry, talented artists of other ethnic backgrounds have and are exhibited.
The Skulski Gallery is under the direction of Aleksandra K. Nowak, an exhibiting professional artist.
