Celebrate the End of Summer at the Annual Polish Harvest Festival "Dozynki"
Join us on September 23 at The Polish Cultural Foundation in Clark for Family Fun, Games, Music and Entertainment for Everyone!
On Sunday, September 23, 2012, at 3:00 p.m. a great celebration of the end of summer with a Polish Harvest Festival will take place at the POLISH CULTURAL FOUNDATION, 177 Broadway, Clark, New Jersey, exit 135 GSP.
The musical program, under the direction of Master of Ceremonies, DJ Leszek Daszykowski and Robert Falda will provide entertainment for one and all with performances by several artists including The Polish Folk Dance Group “Maki” of Lakewood, NJ; Soloists of Song and Music; Students of “Polonez” music school; the singing group “Eli Babki” from the Polish Supplementary School at PCF, There will also be demonstrations of Karate, Ballroom Dancing and Fencing by the famous Janusz Mlynek’s School of Fencing at the PCF, where Dogmara Wozniak, this year’s USA Olympic Fencing Representative began her fencing studies.
The Festival Activities will be include concessions with many varied Polish artifacts and mementos, CD’s, t-shirts, handcraft, stands advertising their products, free giveaways under supervision of Mrs. LuAnn Osborn and Miss Danielle Osborn. Available will be ample delicious Polish Foods. The ever popular Beer Garden in our Atrium will have grilled kielbasa. There will be a Children’s Garden in an outdoor area with games, contests, and attractions for children under direction of Miss Magda Pazdzior.
There will be a raffle under supervision of Mrs. Malgorzata Stepien. Since this is the time to show your Polish pride, a prize will be awarded for the most beautiful Polish Regional costume worn by either adult or child.
Among the Honored Guests will be Polish Cultural Foundation’s Miss Polonia 2012, a known Polish Boxer, Tomasz Adamek and others.
Don’t miss this wonderful event! Tickets at door are $10 adult/young persons; children under 12 are free.
The Polish Cultural Foundation also invites local residents, businesses and the overall community who are interested in contributing to this event by volunteering their time, having a vendor table at the event or being a sponsor.
